Some say Christianity is a tool of white supremacy, however as a former African American Muslim who is now a Biblical Christian I disagree. This claim gained popularity among Black Nationalist in the nineteen sixties, but oddly its foundations began in Victorian era England. In the mid eighteen hundreds an Englishman named Gerald Massey began writing about history and spirituality. Massey’s speculative theories about the origin of Christianity were based on his beliefs in spiritualism. Massey and his followers believed Christianity was a product of syncretism and that it evolved from Egyptian mythology. He also viewed the Bible as a book of allegories which only an enlightened person could demystify. These beliefs would later be adapted by many cults to promote themselves by attacking Christianity. After reading the previous article (What is the Hadith? part 1), you know: the Qur’an is not the sole source of guidance for the Muslim, the hadith literature contains commands practiced by Muslims that are not found in the Qur’an and there are 6 recognized sets of hadith literate in Sunni Islam. This article will show that of the 6 recognized Sunni hadith; not all hadith sets are equal and within each hadith set, not all hadiths are equal and how modern Muslims react to hadith literature. “The Truth About Islamic Jesus”
The imperative question every Muslim must ask themselves is can I trust what Islam teaches about Jesus? My position is no you can’t, and I’m saying this as a African American ex Muslim not some angry alt-right Islamophobe. Islam’s teachings about Jesus rest on one faulty presupposition, that is Muhammad of Arabia received revelation the Quran which talks about the life of Jesus. Islamic Jesus is based on the authority of the Quran and It doesn’t matter if it’s Jesus contradicts previous scripture, history, or reason. Read more...
